A note on the stone:
Smoky quartz takes its colour from millions of years of natural radiation deep in the earth — slowly turning what started as clear quartz into the warm brown you see here. It's been worn for centuries: as cairngorm in the Scottish Highlands, in Mongolian and Tibetan traditions, in the long pendants of the late Victorian era.
The baguette cut at this length is uncommon — most smoky quartz is cut into rounds, ovals, or cabochons. The elongated shape gives the stone a quiet, architectural presence.
