Komari Necklace - Sacred Portals Collection

In the Rapa Nui language, Komari means vulva. A sacred name for a sacred form — origin, fullness, the place where new things begin. The pendant carries the symbol itself, the way it has been drawn into rock on Easter Island for centuries before us.

he shape and design came from Paul, Easter Island's oldest shaman, who first marked it onto a rock and gifted that rock to Marcia Bello when she travelled to meet him. What you wear here is the form of that gift — the Komari symbol at the centre, bordered by the marks of the island — set with green garnet and a single freshwater pearl, hung on recycled 9k yellow gold or recycled sterling silver.

Made to order. Carried from one ocean to another.

About the collaboration:

The Komari Necklace was made with Marcia Bello of the Emana Institute. The original design was drawn by Paul — Easter Island's oldest shaman — onto a rock, which he gifted to Marcia when she travelled to meet him. The Komari symbol is found across Easter Island in ancient petroglyphs — sacred markings of the feminine, carved into stone by Rapa Nui ancestors for generations. Sacred Portals is the collection that holds these collaborations.

Care Guide

This piece is handcrafted in malleable wire and to ensure longevity, extra care is recommended when being worn. Significant pressure can cause the post to bend out of shape or break.
