Tonnya Brown Tourmaline Ring

A one-of-a-kind ring set with a brown tourmaline — the rarer earthy cousin of pink and green tourmalines, mined ethically in Afghanistan. Cut to a clean baguette and set in recycled sterling silver.

Brown tourmaline is rarely used in fine jewellery. Most of the world's tourmaline supply is cut for pink or green; the brown variety stays close to where it was found. The colour is warm and grounding — closer to fired earth than to anything sparkling.

Made once. From a stone rarely seen. Never repeated.

A note on the stone:
Tourmaline comes in more colours than almost any other gem — pink, green, blue, watermelon, and the rarer brown variety (also called dravite). The brown colour comes from magnesium in the crystal. Afghanistan, particularly Nuristan province, has produced some of the finest tourmalines on earth for centuries, mined at small scale and traded carefully.

Care Guide

To ensure longevity of your jewellery, extra care is recommended when being worn. Significant pressure can cause the claws to bend out of shape or break.
