Valerie Necklace

A long strand of agalmatolite — a soft, cream-toned stone carved into beads in China for centuries — punctuated with four small gemstones: a dark blue sapphire, a London blue topaz, a Sri Lankan white sapphire, and a pink rhodolite garnet. Threaded by hand on silk and finished on a sterling silver wheat chain.

Like a small bouquet of colours, no two stones the same shape or cut. The kind of piece that's quiet alone and beautiful with everything.

Made once. Four stones, one strand. Never repeated.

Details:

  • Recycled Sterling Silver
  • High polish finish
  • Agalmatolite tube beads, 2 × 4mm, hand-threaded on silk
  • Dark Blue Sapphire (Nano Stone), oval, 3x5mm
  • Baguette Srilankan White Sapphire 5x2.5mm
  • London blue topaz, oval, 5x3mm
  • Rhodolite Pink Garnet, baguette, 4x2mm
  • Sterling Silver Wheat Chain 1.9mm Thick, secured with clasp
  • Necklace is 43cm long

A note on the stones: Agalmatolite has been carved in China for over a thousand years — a soft, meditative stone, durable enough to wear daily. Set against four small jewels in shifting colours, Valerie holds a small spectrum on one cord.

Care Guide

This piece is handcrafted in malleable wire and to ensure longevity, extra care is recommended when being worn. Significant pressure can cause the post to bend out of shape or break.
